چکیده

We study the formation of primordial proto-stars in a ACDM universe using high-resolution cosmological simulations. Our approach includes all the relevant atomic and molecular physics necessary to follow the thermal evolution of a prestellar gas cloud to very high densities. We describe the numerical implementation of the physics. We show the results of a simulation of the formation of primordial stars in a reionized gas.

The early reionization with the primordial magnetic fields

The early reionization of the intergalactic medium, which is favored from the WMAP temperature-polarization cross-correlations, contests the validity of the standard scenario of structure formation in the cold dark matter cosmogony. It is difficult to achieve early enough star formation without rather extreme assumptions such as very high escape fraction of ionizing photons from proto-galaxies ...

Formation of Massive Primordial Stars in a Reionized Gas

We use cosmological hydrodynamic simulations with unprecedented resolution to study the formation of primordial stars in an ionized gas at high redshifts. Our approach includes all the relevant atomic and molecular physics to follow the thermal evolution of a prestellar gas cloud to very high densities of ∼ 10cm. We locate a star-forming gas cloud within a reionized region in our cosmological s...

Primordial Proto–Galaxies

The first stars to form in protogalaxies must have primordial chemical composition. We refer to a protogalaxy that is forming stars of primordial composition, or very low metallicity (Z ≤ 0.01Z⊙), as “Primordial Proto–Galaxy” (PPG). PPGs contain little or no dust, and therefore their spectral energy distribution can be modelled from the rest–frame ultraviolet to the infrared without accounting ...

Primordial viscosity, diffusivity, Reynolds numbers, sound and turbulence in the beginnings of gravitational structure formation

The first structures were proto-voids formed in the primordial plasma when viscous forces balanced gravitational forces at the Hubble, or horizon, scale of causal connection LH ≡ ct ≈ LSV ≡ (γν/ρG) , where t ≈ 30 000 years was the age of the universe, c the speed of light, γ ≈ 1/t the rate of strain, ν the kinematic viscosity, and LSV Gibson’s 1996 viscous Schwarz scale. The photon viscosity ν ...

Primordial viscosity, diffusivity, Reynolds numbers and turbulence in the beginnings of gravitational structure formation

The first structures were proto-voids formed in the primordial plasma when viscous forces first matched gravitational forces at the Hubble, or horizon, scale of causal connection LH ≡ ct ≈ LSV ≡ (γν/ρG) , where t ≈ 30 000 years was the age of the universe, c the speed of light, γ ≈ 1/t the rate of strain, ν the kinematic viscosity, and LSV Gibson’s 1996 viscous Schwarz scale. At that time the p...
